Friday's Facts of Life Questions

We made it through the week - yeah for us! Now it's time to let our hair down, or put it up in a messy bun and have some fun. Hope these questions put a smile on your face that you enjoy your weekend!

1) What is your favorite bumper sticker?

2) What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten?

3) What is a crazy thing you want to do before you die?

4) Do you believe in ghosts?

5) If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be like and what would it be for?

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

1) What is your favorite bumper sticker? The one on my Yukon, "Please be patient. New Driver. Nervous Parent on Board."

2) What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten? I guess nothing too out of the ordinary. Sushi's not weird, venison heart and liver isn't weird. Calamari and gator isn't either. So I guess I need to expand my pallet!

3) What is a crazy thing you want to do before you die? So maybe it's not really crazy, but I want to learn to surf. I did paddle board before and LOVED it. Next up, surfing. Think I'll start practicing with that crazy Rip Stick.

4) Do you believe in ghosts? Hmm? I guess so. I DO believe in Angels. So if they are among us, then why not ghosts? I would love to go to a haunted house and see/communicate with a ghost. Or even an Angel for that matter!

5) If you could throw any kind of party, what would it be like and what would it be for? I would throw a party just for the hell of it. It would be at the end of summer when the nights are a touch cool - like shorts & sweater cool. It would be a HUGE bonfire on the beach with seafood bake in the ground, sand volleyball, football, soccer and corn hole, glow sticks, sangria's, beer, music, boogie boards and surf fishing.

What's Your Number?

I was reading another blog, Where We Can Live Like Jack and Sally and she talked about "her number". What? Intrigued I followed the link to look up what she was talking about. Let me preface by saying I don't believe in this kind of stuff. BUT,  after finding out "my number" and the meaning behind it, damn. There may be something to it! My magic number is 9. And most of what the meaning behind it fits me. I have a year and a half left before I graduate with my teaching degree. Yeah, I know, right?! Find out yours here...

Number Nine
This is the teacher. Number Nine is a tolerant, somewhat impractical, and sympathetic vibration. Ruled by Mars.

Keywords: jack of all trades, humanitarian, sympathetic, helpful, emotional, tolerant, active, determined. If expressed negatively: financially careless, moody, bullying, overly emotional, sullen, restless.

As lovers: These lovers are involved and helpful. Because they are sympathetic, they can easily be doormats. They show their love by helping their partners, and assuming their lovers' problems. If triggered, their emotions can be volcanic, and a seemingly meek personality can resort to bullying tactics when unhappy.

Motivate My Arse!

Now this is a great idea. Who knows, maybe it would be the thing to finally motivate me to get my ass back into shape. I was in such great shape last year at this time and wham! All the weight and busting butt that I did was wasted. I have gained about 12 of the pound back and would never be caught dead in the bikini that I wore last summer right now. Maybe by typing this you can help get me back on track and keep me motivated and accountable!

Ok Monday, Let's Do This!

Friday's Facts of Life Questions

Happy Friday to you. Hope you all have a great weekend. To those in the Boston area, may you stay safe and know you are in so many people's prayers. To all of those in the flooding areas like I am here in MI., I hope you stay dry.

With so much horror that has happened this week - can you believe it has only been 5 days?! Ugg! Here is something to help you forget for even just a second all the bad in the week.

Here are your Friday's Facts of Life Questions:

 1) How do you eat a piece of corn? In a line from side to side? Or in a row around the cob?
2) What is one thing that scares the beejeebers out of you?

3) Do you shave, wax or something else?

4) What is one thing that really pisses you off?

5) What is one thing that makes you laugh so hard you cry or worse, have to cross your legs because you might wet your pants?

Here is what I have learned about myself throughout my 40 years of life:

1) How do you eat a piece of corn? In a line from side to side? Or in a row around the cob? Totally in a line from side to side. Is there really any other way?
2) What is one thing that scares the beejeebers out of you? Frogs & any nasty creature like snakes, lizards, salamanders, etc. I will punch you if you come near me with a frog - promise!

3) Do you shave, wax or something else? Hell no to waxing! Okay, have done my upper lip & eyebrows. But not anywhere else, are you crazy?! Shave and also am currently trying No-No - it works great!!!!

4) What is one thing that really pisses you off? Other then my outlaws? Hmm, seeing the Boston asshole standing next to the 8yr old boy knowing he was going to kill him.

5) What is one thing that makes you laugh so hard you cry or, worse, have to cross your legs because you might wet your pants? When my husband or kids stub their toe. Sorry, but I ROFLMAO!

Friday's Facts of Life Questions

I love the 5 Question Friday idea. But I am going to go out on my own and start a Friday's Facts of Life Questions. Some weeks I may have 1 question, others I may throw 6 your way. Just depends on my time frame and how creative I'm thinking with the questions. Should get a little box dohicky thing made up so you can copy/paste to link up. So here are the questions for today:

1) Where do you hide things so your children won't find them?

2) Have you ever shut the basement light off and ran like a fool up the stairs because you knew someone was down there and would get you?

3) Are you a flip-flop, sandals or barefoot gal?

4) If you could meet one celebrity, who would it be and what would you ask them?

5) If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why?

My answers:

1) Where do you hide things so your children won't find them? Gifts go in the old school lockers in the garage. Candy goes in my underwear drawer or under the frozen veggies in the freezer!

2) Have you ever shut the basement light off and ran like a fool up the stairs because you knew someone was down there and would get you? Oh hell yes! Every week. I just KNOW there is a monster in the basement!

3) Are you a flip-flop, sandals or barefoot gal? I am totally a barefoot gal. Even in the winter. I cannot stand things on my feet bc I feel claustrophobic. If I have to wear shoes in the summer, it's flip-flops all the way!

4) If you could meet one celebrity, who would it be and what would you ask them? Jillian Michaels and I would ask her to be my trainer.

5) If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why? One thing? Ugg what do I pick? The grey hairs, pimples, stray facial hairs, stretch marks on my belly or belly pooch or negativity? I would have to say belly pooch bc it would help with my negativity.

Oscar The Grouch

I am so grumpy today. I am not in the mood for even thinking. I've been having headaches every day for so long & today it's wearing on me. Today I ran the kids around for practices, and all I want to do is sleep. Now my son is driving to his soccer game and I am typing this so I don't complain @ his 42 in a 45. Or having to go 35 on the ramp. A lot of the stress is knowing this next week I have 2 final exams, a 20 page portfolio and misc homework, then 2 finals and a 7 pg paper due the next week. Oh yeah, and I'm PMSing. Oh happy day!

Five Question Friday

Rules for 5QF: Copy and paste the following questions to your blog post, answer them!

1. Would you go to your high school reunion?
Oh hell no! Haven't been to one yet. Why? Because I don't want the pressure of getting ready to be approved or regected by the same people that did so in high school. Am I curious to see how some people turned out, YES, DEFINITELY! But there are so many of the "kids" that stayed here and have kids around the same age as mine, that it's like a high school reunion every week at school functions.

 2. What's something that you've recently splurged on; either for yourself or someone else?
I just bought this new dress off Ebay for $37. Okay, so it wasn't very expensive, but I normally don't buy myself stuff (unless it's at a resale shop or clearance, shhhh!). But it's something different that no one would think I would wear. I'm trying new things!

 3. How do you handle your child's fever?
I don't panic. It's the body's way of fighting off a germ/infection. Let it do it's job! But it also depends on how high it is. If it's low grade 99-100.?ish I ask if they have a headache, aches, chills, etc. If no, I try to let it run it's course. If it's 101 or + I will give Tylenol or Motrin and water. I don't do the strip down thing like the people who shall remain nameless think you do. If the kids want a blanket to sweat it out, then I'll get them one. If they kick it off because they are too hot, then that's fine too. My doc is cool! He says if it's around 103 use cool washcloth/lukewarm bath and alternate Tylenol/Motrin. If fever comes down with that combination great. If those things don't help, then bring the child in to the office. So I don't panic. Have NEVER had to take the kiddos in for a high fever! Hey, and none of them are brain damaged!!! :)

  4. What's the nicest thing to happen to you lately?
My husband surprised me with an overnight trip to Chicago and tickets to two shows at The Comedy Bar! So excited!!!

 5. What is your current favorite song?
Kelly Clarkson, Catch My Breath? IDK! Lots of favorites...Pink, Try...Pink & Nate Ruess, Give Me A Reason... Lupe Fiasco, Show Goes On...Swedish House Mafia, Don't You Worry Child...so many more!

Shout Out of Congrats To My Friend!

Just wanted to shout out a big congrats to my friend Sheila of Living Smart Girl and Today's Work At Home Mom, who just became the new owner of Prim Mart and the Prim Mart Community!

Sheila has big shoes to fill with Shelly's departure, but she will make Shelly proud. So proud of my friend and her accomplishments, hard work and drive.

Thank you Shelly for a wonderful community that created life long friendships. That's how I met my dear friend Sheila! I can't imagine my life without Sheila there to talk with about anything! Shelly has a clothing site Muscle Threadz where they have awesome shirts for guys, gals and even kids. Hope you can check it out.

The Prim Mart Community is a place where we can go for advice, a shoulder to cry on, a laugh or two, creative ideas and a kick in the ass when needed. These ladies tell it like it is with a little bit of kindness mixed in. Sheila, can't wait to see all the great new additions you add to the community! Congratulations to both of you on your new adventures!

My Baby Boy Is 13 Today!

Some birthday surprises left for when he woke up. I can't believe he is 13! He was a whirlwind as a baby and is a sweetheart as a youth. I hope that as he is learning the facts of life in every way that God is with him and life treats him kind. I'm so proud of you son! Luv you Mason! Happy Birthday!
